Ontario Veterinary Specialists Association image

In 2011, board-certified veterinary specialists in Ontario came together to establish the Ontario Veterinary Specialists Association (OVSA) with the express goal of advancing the art, science, and practice of veterinary specialties for the treatment of disease in animals. OVSA intends to promote awareness of the role of veterinary specialists to the general public, general veterinary practitioners, Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs), and student veterinarians. OVSA
also represents a new contact point in the evolving relationship between veterinary specialists and provincial veterinary professional and regulatory bodies, e.g. the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO) and the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA). By providing this website, OVSA hopes to foster communication between all of these diverse groups and to supply a mechanism for continuing informal discussions between members.
